It\u2019s a cycle of trial and error, but walking around Kamakura with a camera in hand has opened up a surprisingly fun world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this post, I\u2019d like to share a photo report of the scenery I captured as a beginner photographer during an early-November stroll through Kamakura<\/strong> \u2014 from the sea to the townscape and the temples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In early November, the morning light at Yuigahama Beach is soft and transparent. The sunlight reflects on the wet sand as the sea slowly wakes up, Of course, as a beginner:<\/p>\n\n\n\n But even those \u201cdidn\u2019t turn out the way I expected\u201d photos feel fun in their own way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every day brings new discoveries like, Inamuragasaki is amazing because even beginners can take photos that look \u201clegit.\u201d<\/strong> Even though I still find composition difficult, The deep blue of the ocean, the crisp sky, the white of the waves \u2014 At Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, I happened to capture birds flying over the Genpei Pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Motion is actually hard to photograph, These unexpected lucky shots are especially rewarding for beginners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ginkgo trees were also starting to turn yellow, Gokurakuji Station looks like a scene from an old movie. This is one of those places where you don\u2019t really need to think about composition \u2014 Even as a beginner, simply taking photos here feels relaxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Early November is a wonderful time in Kamakura. With the soft light of this season, What I realized during this little photo walk is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n I took plenty of failed shots, but walking around and taking photos was simply fun. I\u2019m excited to continue practicing and capturing the everyday scenery and seasonal moments of Kamakura. Even as a complete beginner, I often found myself thinking,
\u201cHmm\u2026 this actually looks pretty nice?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and the silhouettes of surfers naturally add an accent to the frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
\u201cWow, the same place looks totally different depending on the time of day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n2. Inamuragasaki \u2014 A Place Where Even a Simple Click Looks Like a Photograph<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The sea and sky stretch out in a single line, and the rocky cliff on the left anchors the composition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
here I can just press the shutter and end up with a satisfying shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
seeing them come out beautifully made me think,
\u201cAh, so this<\/em> is what a DSLR can do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n3. Autumn at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu \u2014 Accidentally Capturing the Perfect Moment<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

but the birds suddenly entered the frame just as I pressed the shutter,
and I thought,
\u201cWait\u2026 this came out really good!?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and the sunlight filtering through the leaves created a beautiful, delicate scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n4. Gokurakuji Station \u2014 A Nostalgic Station Bathed in Autumn Light<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The wooden station building becomes even warmer and more charming in the gentle autumn sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
just capturing the atmosphere is enough to convey the essence of Kamakura.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n5. Kamakura, the \u201cSeason of Light\u201d \u2014 Autumn Colors Even Beginners Can Capture<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The green trees begin to mix with hints of autumn colors,
and the subtle seasonal transition is easy to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
even beginners like me can take photos where the trees look vibrant and beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
